VILLA POPPI
This house is one of the most distinctive properties in Skopelos; It has been built in the traditional Pelion style, with timber exterior gables and the old grey slate roof. Located across the bay from Skopelos town, the house is surrounded by terraces and gardens, with geraniums, oleanders, hibiscus, olive trees and grapevines. The lush green surroundings and the tranquillity give the house a feeling of being in the countryside, but it is within easy walking distance of tavernas and cafes.

Description
The house is built on three levels. The ground floor is a spacious open plan room , with small corner kitchen area, and a sitting and dining area. The kitchen is equipped with electric oven and hob, kettle and fridge-freezer. The dining area has circular wooden table and chairs, but you will probably opt to eat outside- you have the choice of two side terraces both accessed from the living-dining room, one with a circular stone table shaded by a wooden pergola, and the other with a long stone table and stone bench seating. The living area has inbuilt seating with comfy cushions, and huge French windows which open onto the front sun terrace, giving the room lots of light and a lovely view over the sea to the town.
Off the living room is a fully tiled bathroom with WC.
Wooden stairs from the living room ascend to a mezzanine level which is a cosy extra sitting area with fireplace and sofa, and french windows onto a side balcony.
A further flight of steps lead up to the top floor of the house which has a landing area with window seats to maximise on the superb views over the harbour to town. Off the landing are two bedrooms, and the main bathroom. The main bedroom has a king size fixed bed and French windows onto a large wooden sea and town-facing balcony. The second bedroom has two fixed platform single beds, and French windows onto a side balcony with views of the hillside. The bathroom is fully tiled and has WC and bath with shower attachment.
In addition to having bags of interior space, Villa Poppi is blessed with a choice of outside sitting areas, on different levels, so you can choose from sun and shade throughout the day. The side terrace of the house has an outdoor sink and a stone-built barbeque, making catering outside a real delight.
Although some of the interiors are starting to show their age, this property has an abundance of character, space, and makes superb holiday accommodation for couples and families wanting views, privacy, and ease of access to town
