VILLA ZEUS

Villa Zeus is situated on the beach at Marathounda literally a stone’s throw from the water’s edge.

Description

The property is a stylish conversion of the original building and is decorated to a high standard of comfort and design. Next door is Villa Hera but the properties are on different levels so are private from one another. Marathounda bay is located towards the southern end of the island, about a 20 minute drive from Symi town. The bay itself is pebbly with wonderfully clear waters ideal for snorkelling. On the beach is Micheali’s taverna which serves traditional Greek dishes as well as fresh fish – this is open throughout the day and evening. To the rear of the villa is the Marathounda organic farm. An interesting place to take a guided tour and learn about some of the traditional farming methods.

A gate leads from the beach onto a private terrace which runs the width of the property and is ideal for al fresco dining. From here double front doors open into a saloni with air conditioning, comfortable sofa and chairs. To the left is the master bedroom with a four poster iron bed and built in wardrobe. A window looks over the beach.
To the left of the saloni is the twin bedroom with built in wardrobe, feature fireplace and original built in dressers. Again a window looks out over the beach.

From the saloni an opening goes into the back hall and from here one door leads into the fully tiled shower room and another door opens out onto the back terrace; a spacious veranda which runs across the back of the property and an ideal place to catch the late afternoon sun.

The kitchen also leads from the hall; a large room with character wooden ceiling, fitted cupboards, full oven, dish washer and dining furniture.

Villa Zeus is a spacious house suitable for a family or two couples. A wonderful location on the beach for those who wish to have independence away from the main town.
